📖 How to Use the Turkey Overstay Fine Calculator 2026

Welcome to the Turkey Overstay Fine Calculator. Follow these quick and easy steps to estimate your potential visa overstay fines and administrative fees before leaving Turkey.

📝 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Select Your Citizenship

Choose your country of passport from the Citizenship drop-down menu.

The calculator will automatically adjust the legal limits (e.g., 60 continuous days for Russia, 30 continuous days for Belarus, or 90 days for Schengen/US passport holders) and apply relevant visa fees.

2. Enter Previous Visits (If Applicable)

If your nationality has a split-stay rule (such as 90 total days within a 180-day window) and you have entered and exited Turkey in the last 180 days:

  • Click «+ Add period».
  • Select the Entry Date and Exit Date for each previous trip.
  • Add as many periods as necessary to reflect your total history in the last 6 months.

3. Choose Your Entry Type

Select the status under which you entered Turkey:

  • Visa-free / Tourist Entry: Standard entry without a long-term visa or residence permit.
  • Held Residence Permit (Expired): Choose this option if you held an ikamet (residence permit) that expired while you were inside Turkey.

4. Specify Travel Dates

  • Current entry date: Select the exact date you last entered Turkey.
  • Planned exit date: Select the date you intend to depart Turkey.

5. Calculate Your Fine

Click the blue «Calculate Fine» button.

📊 Understanding Your Results

Once calculated, the results box will display one of two outcomes:

  • ✅ No Overstay: Your stay is fully within the legal limits. No action or fine is required.
  • ⚠️ Overstay Detected: The system will display the total number of overstayed days, the legal reason for the violation, and an itemized cost breakdown:
    • Fine (USD & TRY): Calculated based on the number of months overstayed and converted using live central bank exchange rates.
    • Residence Card Fee (İkamet Kart Bedeli): Standard administrative card processing fee.
    • Visa Fee (Vize Harcı): Applied for nationalities that require visa reciprocity fees upon exit.
    • Total Due: The estimated total amount in Turkish Lira (TRY) to be paid at the airport/border customs desk.
